Our Western Australian team recently assisted our client, Georgiou who are working on the Hazelmere & Helena Valley water pipeline project. An essential upgrade to the 2.4km pipeline, that supplies water for the Goldfields and Agricultural Water Scheme and around 24,000 customers in the Greenmount water zone.
A call came in to our Business Development Manager in WA, Jesse Christidis, with an urgent request: the project required 150 Shield 1 Barriers, with 85 of those needed on-site within just four days.
With only a day’s notice, our logistics and inventory team sprang into action. Thanks to the quick coordination, we secured a semi-load of Shield 1 barriers from Adelaide, which arrived on site in Perth by 9:00 AM, precisely when the client needed them. The second load of 65 barriers followed just two days later, ensuring the project continued without delay.
The Shield 1 barriers were crucial for the safety of workers and the public throughout this vital infrastructure project. These barriers utilises a high-strength modified UV stabilised polyethylene and are approved by road authorities, Australia-wide.
Overall, for the project, we’ve supplied:
• 1,751m of temporary fencing – consisting of standard temporary fencing with support stays, as well as 54kph spec with 50% shade cloth
• 586m of Shield 1 Barriers with fence tops
• 2 double-unit toilet trailers from Site HQ
• 20 tree protection signs from Site HQ
